Camp Location

Errappa Blue Light Camp is located near Iron Knob in South Australia's stunning outback region. The remote, natural setting provides an ideal environment for outdoor adventure and personal growth away from daily distractions.

Service Area

While our physical camp is based near Iron Knob, we serve young people from across South Australia, including:

  • Adelaide metropolitan area
  • Regional centers (Port Augusta, Whyalla, Port Pirie, etc.)
  • Rural and remote communities
  • Aboriginal communities across SA

We can arrange transport for participants from various locations. Contact us to discuss access and transport options for your area.

Iron Knob is located approximately 50km northwest of Whyalla and 390km northwest of Adelaide in South Australia's Eyre Peninsula region.

How do I register a young person?

Contact us via email or the form above expressing interest. We'll send you information about upcoming programs and a registration form. Referrals can also be made by schools or youth services.

What's the cost?

We work hard to keep programs affordable. Costs vary by program length and activities. Financial assistance and scholarships are available - don't let cost be a barrier to participation.

What should participants bring?

A detailed packing list is provided upon registration. Generally: comfortable outdoor clothing, sturdy shoes, personal items, and sleeping bag. All specialist equipment is provided.

Is it safe?

Safety is our highest priority. All staff are police officers or experienced outdoor educators with current first aid qualifications and Working with Children Checks. Comprehensive risk assessments are conducted for all activities.

Can my child attend if they have additional needs?

Yes! We work to accommodate diverse needs including disabilities, medical conditions, and behavioral support requirements. Contact us to discuss specific needs and how we can support participation.

How can I volunteer?

Contact us expressing interest in volunteering. You'll need a Working with Children Check and to complete our volunteer training. Police officers should contact through their local Blue Light chapter.

During Camp Programs

If you need to contact us urgently during a camp program, please email info@errappa.com.au with "URGENT" in the subject line. Emergency contact numbers are provided to families whose children are attending programs.
